Totally not a loser for the 2-TV posts. Had it been about crappy shows, then it would be loser-ish, but it's not, so no worries. I'm thinking they surely can't kill Meredith off... if for nothing else, ABC is making WAY too much $$$ off that show, and they wouldn't want to piss people off too much. They are just getting a big hype so that even MORE people will watch next week and become addicted to it like the other 75% of America. That's my 2 cents...
It's sweeps. They won't kill the title character.
What networks will do- like NBC- is kill really good, literate shows like Studio 60. I'm totally pissed about that.

grays is trying to go the ER route. it was somewhere in year two that george clooney had the big "save" episode that put er in the big time.
